Annual Jersey Cancer Relief Fishing Competition, kindly supported by the Sinkers Fishing Club.

A great day was had by all on Sunday 4th June at the Annual Jersey Cancer Relief Fishing Competition, kindly supported by the Sinkers Fishing Club. The competition took place at St Catherine’s Breakwater. The event was open to all ages and abilities, and experienced anglers were on hand to help. Braving the wind and rain showers the anglers managed to catch a fish or two.
Winners in the children’s competition were as follows:
1st Prize went to Finn O’Brien catching a 35.5cm Wrasse
2nd Prize went to Trinity Astal-Stain catching a 35cm Wrasse
3rd Prize went to Charlie Le Geyt catching a 29cm Pollock
Winners in the adult’s competition were as follows:
1st Prize went to Mark Richard for a 55cm Dogfish
2nd Prize went to Sue Pougeolle for a 54cm Dogfish
3rd Prize went to Steve Thompson for a 51cm Dogfish
Jersey Cancer Relief would like to thank everyone who participated and JSF Sport, Mr Fish Tackleshop, St Ouen Motor Works, and The Market Tackle Shop for donating the prizes.
A total of £265.76 was raised for the charity
